Lena NW is a game developer & media artist whose work contends with the structures in place that prevent individuals from affecting meaningful change. Her work investigates how media and online spaces can function as escapist coping mechanisms in the face of despair. She explores online identity as the fragmentation & commodification of self. Her games have been featured on Rhizome.org, Dazed Digital, and Kotaku, and recognized internationally in game festivals like A MAZE. International Games and Playful Media Festival and Independent Games Festival (IGF).
