The Universal Laser Systems PLS 6.60 is a 32″x18″ CO2 laser cutter capable of cutting through a variety of soft materials, such as wood, leather, paper, and some plastics. It features a 60 watt laser tube.

Fume extraction is handled by a large HEPA filter and is exhausted outside the building. Fabrication Lab staff operate the laser cutter as a service to students.
